




First time lazy dumplings
Canned braised pork, bok choy, spring onions, salt and pepper. Couldn't add any other liquid. The gelatin and fat in the pork turned these almost into soup dumplings. I decided to do this so I could taste the filling as it's as I go, this being my first time ever making dumplings and all. Delicious. My first 12 were misshapen so didn't include them.
Hot tip: even if you're not Chinese don't be scared of your Asian grocer especially when it comes to canned meats. Look for the symbol on last pic (next to China time-honored brand) and you can be sure that it's a prestigious product endorsed by Chinese commerce board. Lots of fun, will do again with other canned goods before I make my own mix 😊
