Am I doing this right? Low effort composting

Am I doing this right? Low effort composting

So, I just started composting a few months ago and I'm not sure if I have been doing it correctly...But I will say that it seems like the compost is composting, and it's filled with life--I can see the worms doing their thang, along with roly-polies and other bugs. All I've been doing is collecting food scraps, and then throwing them on the pile and mixing it with the compost, and then putting a layer of browns (leaves, compostable paper/cardboard, etc.) And that's about it..

Am I doing it right? What should I do to improve this set up? I want to stick with something that is low maintenance because I have a lot of stuff going on, so I can't commit to anything high maintenance right now.

Let me know what you think.. And if there's anything else that I should know, leave a comment. Thanks!

ISO Affordable Solar Generator - Need Advice

I'm looking to get a small solar generator but I have no clue where to start... Times are tough right now and I cannot afford an expensive generator, but with everything going on in the world I wanted to buy an affordable solar generator to have on hand in case of power outages or any other emergency. The problem is, I don't really know much about solar so I have no idea where to start.

Additional details: We are based in the U.S.... and yes, I know -.- ... Anyways, my house is 968sqft. I'd love to get one for the whole house, but I know that might not be an option due to my limited funds.. So, I'm open to anything that we can rely on until we can afford something more expensive. (Edit: Budget is probably < $1000 if that's even possible, I'm open to payment plans if that is an option.)

Also, are there any affordable solar powered AC devices out there that I should look into? Portable units are fine, I know that larger systems are mostly out of my price range..

If there is anything else that I should know, please leave a comment.

Any advice on this topic is greatly appreciated!
