Repurposing a Meade Star Navigator with broken Audiostar
Hi,
I recently inherited a Meade Star Navigator 102mm refractor with a broken mount (multiple gears broken inside with no clear way of fixing or replacing the gears).

Is it worth keeping? The scope itself works fine and it is better quality than the current telescope I have (an old Bushnell 70mm). Does anyone know of a tripod that I can use to help with finding objects in the sky? My older telescope has a manual Alt-Az base with fine tuning levers that can be screwed to move the telescope up and down. Something similar would be great for this Meade telescope.
It also didn't come with a finding scope mounted on top. Does anyone know which model would fit? Meade has gone out of business from what I understand.
Thanks
