Should I get minimal prep veneers?

I’ve really wanted perfect teeth my whole life. I fell when I was a toddler and caused my permanent teeth to shift forward and come in on top of other permanent teeth. I had braces and have 2 dental implants. Despite all the work that’s been done, I have two sets of canines and the implants were done 20+ years ago and could be better. Additionally I had to have my wisdoms teeth out before the implants, and because I had to remove my retainer my front teeth shifted. It caused the gap and slight misalignment. And lastly because of the trauma & braces, I don’t have strong roots on my front 4 teeth, they are only about 1/2 as long as I guess what is ideal.
My spouse has finally agreed to the cost of getting veneers so I’m exploring options and found this thread. I also apparently need to track down the dentist that did my implants 20+ years ago, which is slow rolling my decision.
