I am looking into joining either the Chicago athletic club or fitness formula club?

My hope is not going to the gym will not only give me access to more machines, but I am hoping to find some type of community and make new friends or even find a potential partner.

I am looking for information regarding which gym is better for both of those. I know the gym for some is not a place where you can meet someone, but I have heard of people finding friends or partners there. So I am going to give it a try for the summer. Westloop seems like a promising area with young professionals? I thought Lincoln Park might be more college age kids so that is why I am hesitant.
