Madone Gen 8 Frame
Went over a bump slightly hard today and suddenly my whole seat dropped down. I checked the frame and it looks like the insert/plug around the seatpost clamp area has shifted or sunk in (photos attached). You can actually see the hole is no longer flush anymore.

I’m wondering:

• Has anyone had this happen before?
• Is this something I can fix myself?
• Could it just be the seatpost wedge slipping/breaking?
• Or is this potentially frame dam

Would really appreciate any advice before I take it into a Trek shop.

I’m deciding between the Elitewheels Aero+ Disc and Edge 2.0 — I can see they’re both on the pricier side, so I just want to make sure I’m picking the right one.

From what I’ve seen, the Aero+ seems more aero and maybe better for flats, while the Edge 2.0 is lighter and probably better for climbing? Not sure how noticeable that actually is though.

If anyone owns either (or both), how do they feel in real riding?

I mostly do long rides on flats but also like attacking hills, so I’m trying to figure out which one is the better overall choice.

Would appreciate any advice 🙏
