I know we’re only a few episodes in but I’m worried for RHOA this season and here’s why - alliances kill shows. They force fake drama. They curtail resolution. And we’re already seeing it in these recent episodes.
Shamea obviously knew she was the black sheep after her disastrous reunion performance. Instead of trying to make it nice with the other women in the off season however, she’s clung onto that shrill minion Kelli and drafted in her henchman pinky for backup, who in turn has conscripted her line sister K Michelle to join the army. The result? A very clearly divided group led by a very lame leader (shamea) who cant speak up for herself in confrontations and instead lashes out in passive aggressive ways, and lackeys who start nonsensical beef with the other women for no reason and back each other up blindly.
The epitome of this is the dinner scene in the latest episode - half the group are moping by the pool (could they not have at least done SOMETHING entertaining?!) while they send their flying monkey to do their dirty work (and get eviscerated by Angela), only to slink back in, tail between their legs, when they realise they’re missing their moment in the spotlight. It’s so infuriating because it ephkd be so much better if it was just all organic instead of fake and phony.
