How to study like yall hardcore STEM students in engineering/computer science students with 4.0 gpas 🤨

I’m a 2nd year psychology student in arts 💅 and ive been struggling with my grades (63% gpa 😂) . I think its not an effort thing but rather an issue with my studying cuz ik im not dumb (maybe a little 🤨)

i mainly highlight and read over my notes to prepare for exams and tbh I’ve never taken a undergradu science course before. this year I’m registered for math180 and biol112 cause i wanna challenge myself (pray for me 😇)

but i was wondering yall hardcore stem students in super hard majors like engineering/CS, study and get 4.0 gpas which seems impossible for me. Do yall just take really good notes or what 🫪

If I’m doing a Computer Science + Physics major with Computer Engineering electives, would that be the same as a Computer Engineering (CPEN) degree?

I’m doing a Computer Science + Physics major and planning on using all of my electives to take Computer Engineering (CPEN) courses. Would that make my education comparable to a CPEN degree, or are there major gaps that employers care about?

I know it wouldnt technically be a peng degree but I’m just wondering if I would be qualified to do low level hardware jobs since cpen is basically mainly a mix of physics, math, CS, and low level hardware and my courseload would be very similar to a cpen degree.

My main goal is to work in computer engineering-related roles (embedded systems, firmware, hardware/software, computer architecture, etc.). Would I still be competitive for CPEN jobs with this path, or would employers strongly prefer an actual CPEN degree? Would I have to do a masters in ee or cpen?
