First time watching the series, and season 7 feels rather gimmicky. Will it continue like this or get back to the vibe of earlier seasons?
So far, this season has been the one I've taken in smallest doses. I used to binge watch several episodes a week, but now I feel like it's only 3 or 4 a month.
More and more episodes seem sitcommy and one-off. Entertaining to a degree, but not at all like the show I started watching. I'm thinking "First Person Shooter", "X-Cops" and "AD Hollywood". Mulder a caricature of himself, Scully and Skinner acting pretty out of character.
Anyone else ever feel this way? Should I slog through and hope it returns to the more steady, serious feel of earlier seasons?
