Been looking into st Martin as a anniversary trip with my gf and need some help finding out where to stay. We enjoy being on the beach, and generally like being in an area that is walkable with some nightlife options, and close to some hiking. I’ve seen some stuff about maho village area but don’t know what hotels and such are good in that area or much about it at all. Any recommendations on where to stay or the area in general will help a lot. Thank you!

Hello everyone just wanted to give a heads up to anyone traveling to Puerto Rico to be aware and carful of staying with this host Amavi stays on Airbnb , they claimed to have running water during the water ordeal back in early June. The water ended up going out after two days and the hosts implied that it would be fixed shortly and not to worry. Long story short for the rest of our stay we had no access to running water and no where to use the restroom. After our stay concluded we requested a partial refund through Airbnb after multiple attempts to reach out to the host and resolve it ourselves and waiting a week they never responded. After we got it resolved the and got a partial refund for only the days without water the hosts decided to leave a nasty review on my Airbnb profile saying we left dishes in the sink trash everywhere and essentially trashed the place. The dishes were left in the sink at the request of the Airbnb host because we HAD NO WATER to do them with. And all trash was left at the door bagged as the host instructed us too as well. Wanted to just warn people and make sure this host who has multiple properties does not do something similar to other people.

Just looking for some good locations and things to do. Me and my girlfriend are 20 and in college in America. We would be traveling on a budget but I am looking to utilize 300k IHG points. But know this won’t cover the whole stays for our trip. We have taken a couple trips to the Caribbean and enjoy being on the beach at some point during the trip. We are looking for it to be between 1-3 weeks and do not want to stay in hostels. We also enjoy some nightlife but nothing too crazy. We are wanting to go to multiple different countries during this trip. Also wondering how the high speed railways work between countries over there. Thank you all for your help!
