Looking for a lightweight upgrade from a Canon EOS 70D for travel and walks

My wife has had a Canon EOS 70D for years and has generally been very happy with it. She mainly shoots photos rather than video, and she’s got 2 lenses for it over the years but if we have to switched brands I don’t mind too much.

The problem is that she barely takes it out these days because it’s quite bulky and heavy. For casual walks, days out, holidays, and weekend trips, it often feels like too much to carry around.
I’d like to get her something more lightweight and versatile that she’d actually enjoy taking with her regularly.

A few things I’m looking for:
- Primarily for photography, not video
- Smaller and lighter than a 70D
- Good image quality (at least comparable to the 70D but ideally better)
- Easy to carry on walks and when travelling
- Flexible enough for landscapes, nature, street photography, and general family/travel photos
- £1k budget but flexible if it’s genuinely worth it

Things I’ve looked:
- Fujifilm X-T30III
- Fujifilm X-S20
- Fujifilm XM5
- Sony A6400
- Panasonic Lumix GX9

I am absolutely clueless when it comes to cameras so would very much appreciate any help.

I’ve just postcreted 2 4x4 wooden fence post into my garden, roughly about 14 foot apart.

8.5ft pressure treated poles, 3ft deep buried into quite clay’ soil.

The more I read up I wish I had done 6x6 but here we are. I’d rather not put a horizontal post between the 2 I’ve got in.

Questions:

1 - Is there any other way to support them?
2 - Both posts are fairly close to my garden fences, could I guy line them to the other fence posts? Or should I just guy line to the ground, but angle behind them is quite tight.

Or should I just stop worrying and 4x4 will be fine?

3 - I was going to put a through bolt hammock hook through each post. Is that the best option? How high up should I put them?
