The Eliminator

The Eliminator

This is the first year I’m maxing out a contest! The eliminator has been my favorite best ball contest for a couple years now, probably because I can’t stand waiting 14 weeks to advance. With my MLB teams pushing strong and reaching the halfway point of the season I wanted to talk about what I’m doing for NFL.

Draft times - New strategy this year since I’m maxing it out is to draft my teams in accordance to the fill % of the contest. With ADP shifts as the season approaches due to bye weeks, injury, trades, and arrests (lol) I think that ill be able to build totally unique stacks/builds compared to when the contest opened compared to when it closes.

Structure - The structure for each teams changes based on how I’m feeling / who I get that day but for the most part I’m building 2 5 8 3 teams. Definitely targeting RB in the early rounds due to the consistency and high floor these guys produce. QB shooting for mid to late rounds, and WR + TE scattered through out. Since the competition is just against one other team per week, creating an entirely boom or bust team is too risky for me. Focused on building teams where 1/2 the guys are high floor/consistent per week (hopefully), and the other half are boom or bust to get an edge.

Players I’m fading - Justin Jefferson (bad qb + lots of comp), Ashton Jeanty (burned me last year), Omarion Hampton (injury), Drake London (tua), Garrett Wilson (jets) and many more.

Players I have too much of - Achane + Etienne (gut feeling), Mike Evans (SF fan), Romeo Doubs (possible WR1 of NE), Jerry Jeudy (adp so low and idk he’s probably gonna do not too great but I can’t stop)

At the end of the day you can make it to the next week scoring 80 points, or get bumped putting up 150+.

I just like the ride!
