I am 3 weeks post laterjet on left shoulder. Inviting all the folks who underwent this exact same procedure to share your experience and also share your recovery guidelines. Mine are as follows
> 6 weeks - Sling on all day except pt which consist of only two exercises. Bicep curl and forearm rotations.
> Physiotheraphy begins post 6 weeks
> Post 3 months - Light gym lifting starts (strengthening)
> Post 6 months - Heavy gym lifting
> Post 9-12 months - Back to Sports
I read a lot about the recovery timelines online and found out sports can be started as soon as 4 months post surgery. How realistic is it. Also what can i expect when someone says back to sports, is it just light training or all in for competitions??
