I am working on a concept of an enemy that exists as 2 separate spirits that take the form of different predator-prey pairs. Like maybe one day they would be a Lion and a Gazelle, or another be an actual person Hunter and some wild animal like a deer.

What are some in universe pairings that might go well? I can think of iconic monsters, but not tied to specific prey they are known to hunt or similar.

Doesn't necessarily have to be monsters. an actual human (or elf or whatever) hunter and a commonly hunted animal is good too.

Edit: Like Displacer Beast / Blink Dog! I just remembered this one.

Blue people assume there are people who will not understand the question. There is some baseline population who will pick blue.

Red people either assume this is not true (by assuming only moral agents can participate or that only rational actors are engaging) or Red believes this population is not worth risking additional harm for.

Basically all of this is solved by rigidly defining boundaries of the problem.

If young children and people with cognitive or learning disabilities who cannot understand the question don't participate, then there is not population worth risking yourself over, and the blue population is effectively negligible and lives to save is negligible. Nobody in their right mind would choose blue here. Especially when it is transparent that the only people voting blue are actually suicidal people

If we assume all people alive participate and if they cannot express a choice, they are chosen randomly, many many more would pick blue to attempt to save those who cannot defend themselves. I think it's reasonable to go either way but would guess more people pick blue here.

The question itself allows a reasonably minded person with reasonable assumptions to not only assume the other choice is either stupid or evil
