Saw a language related scene at Pizza hut ( next to durgabari) at around 8:30 pm. Want your opinions on the incident

So I was with my mother, eating pizza when suddenly we heard a bengali lady ( who dressed like and appeared to be a man) screaming at an indigenous male staff.

Upon listening closely to the argument, we figured that the indigenous male stuff talked to her in 'Hindi' and pushed the menu card towards her in a way that she found disrespectful.

She was furious at the fact that he wasn't speaking 'bengali' and was screaming that 'Hindi' is not Tripura's language and demanded he speak Bengali.

Now as a Bengali myself, I find the lady at fault, because Bengali isn't an indigenous tripuri person's mother tongue, so it's purely their choice whether they will or won't communicate with Bengalis in Bengali.

This scene reveals a silent contempt for the language and the culture itself among Tripura Bengalis and tripuri tribal, which is concerning because since the rise of Tipra Motha, the hate against Bengalis have increased which is reflected in social media where tribals continuously bash tripura Bengalis born and brought up in Tripura and call us 'bangladeshi' or tell us to go to Bangladesh.

The hate against Tribals among Tripura Bengalis though mostly 'silent' is still there, which shouldn't be.

Want your opinion on this.
