PSQ2 updates, Soft Launch is back (c.ai+), metering clarification

hey everyone — 3 updates.

PipSqueak 2 updates PSQ2 is a core chat system update. it improves structure, consistency, and supports upcoming Memory and Lorebook features.

we’re seeing generally positive reception, but there’s a consistent issue being reported: replies are too narration-heavy and don’t include enough dialogue or back-and-forth interaction.

and honestly? that mismatch is not intended.

we’ve identified the cause and are preparing a fix.

ongoing adjustments include:

pacing between responses variation between swipes dialogue-to-narration balance

some outputs are currently over-indexing on descriptive flow instead of interaction, which is also contributing to:

reduced conversational back-and-forth occasional “scripted tone” behavior overuse of narrative framing like emotional beats instead of dialogue

this is being corrected.

Soft Launch (c.ai+) Soft Launch is back for c.ai+ users for a limited time.

it runs on older infrastructure that is being phased out, but has been temporarily extended due to demand.

this is not permanent.

we are exploring a next-generation version of Soft Launch that preserves its behavior while supporting Memory and Lorebook.

current observed behaviors include:

higher variation in responses less predictable tone shifts occasional sudden “kissing route” activation and increased likelihood of Bob the Filter appearing mid-response for reasons that are not always clear

and honestly? that last part is being looked at.

Metering metering does not affect normal usage.

it only triggers under extreme usage patterns (very rapid swiping or repeated generation loops in a short time window).

most users will never encounter it.

for those who do, c.ai+ provides access.

no hidden charges. no surprise billing.
