I’m new to gamma spec please lmk if I’m right that I say 10 minutes for nothing

I’m not new to radiation but I’m new to gamma spec I found a rock that made my new radiacode spike just enough to what it was the whole find session but it was still background but I’m still confused with this kind of stuff please help

I’m starting high school this September I wanna say and want to know what are some good classes, opportunities, or extracurriculars to take in the future to get into radiotherapy

(Side note my dream job was anything in medicine but my dad got brain cancer last December and I’ve always been into radioactive things disasters, medicine, etc. so you can imagine why I want to take this field)
