DO NOT DISTRIBUTE WITH SOUNDCLOUD
I recently tried using SoundCloud’s distribution service to give it a go and see how it performed. Worst experience I’ve ever had to say the least. Wouldn’t recommend or encourage any artists to use it.
The main problem? The only task they have is I believe to distribute the music to the DSPs correct? They couldn’t even do that.
Let’s not address their botted “Amplify” service. And support is honestly not all there. I’d say any independent artist or musician looking into it.
Don’t.
Go ahead try another platform. Not worth the time, risks and effort if you’re depending on a solid Distribution platform and have any roll out campaigns. You may run the risk of losing money on it, given that users or fans won’t have access to your release the day the platform said it would
