Neighbor problems
Hello everyone, I live in a house with 2 apartments, 1 upstairs and one first floor. I live on the first floor and share a hallway with the upstairs tenants. We had a problem with them picking up their dog poop in the shared backyard about a year ago and I nicely asked the landlord to talk to them and after that she showed up at my door screaming at me and telling me I’m not allowed to go through the landlord, and said she thought she was clear that I go through her. Ever since then she has been slamming doors everyday, playing loud music, parking so close to my car I can’t get my kids in the car. I haven’t complained once since then, and after that incident I put a ring camera on my door. I put the camera up for me and my children’s safety because I wanted it documented if they kept showing up at my door AND because I need to know when they have their dog in the hallway because their dog has tried to attack me on multiple occasions.
Well fast forward to last week they left for vacation and put a ring camera on the door that leads to their stairs (their door is immediately to the right when you walk in the main door to the house) I didn’t have a problem with the ring camera on the door because they already have cameras in multiple spots, however, as soon as they came back from vacation they moved the camera on their door to below their doorknob, the problem is that the camera is legitimately crotch level for me and my husband and I feel that it is extremely awkward and an invasion of privacy. Am I a Karen if I call my landlord to complain? Again, I don’t care if they have it on the door but the angle is extremely I intimate.
