Hello, I’m moving to New York for a year or two max. What is the best areas to live with a car? My husband lived in Inwood park in the early 2010’s and doesn’t really want to move to manhattan. It also seems like the worst area to live with a car. He was thinking Astoria and I was thinking Staten Island. I just want a place where our monthly drive to Costco is not as “bad” (I don’t think that is the right word but can’t think of an other). My job is almost fully remote and I don’t mind a longer public transport commute into manhattan once a week. My husband’s job fully remote. We are early 30’s and love early morning walks, especially to tea/coffee shops and bakeries. What neighborhoods do you recommend we start our search?
