Deficit on period?

Do you guys stick with a deficit during your period or go up to maintenance? I’m eating how I normally would and the cravings aren’t terrible but I’m finding that my usual 80-100g of protein per day (I’m 5 ft 3) is not really keeping me as satisfied. Should I just tough it out?

Getting stronger! yayyy!

It’s my first time posting here so not sure if I’m supposed to provide stats but here they are anyway: I’m 5 ft 3 on a good day, around 54kg and 30% body fat. I don’t really have any qualms with my build but just wanna shed some fat and become stronger.

I wouldn’t say I’m a beginner lifter but the last month I’ve really locked in with strength training 3-4x a week, alongside pilates 2x a week (since Jan) and some 15 min sessions of cardio at least 2x a week (still working on this). I think I’m starting to feel better in some clothes but honestly it’s a little early to tell since I only started tracking calories seriously the last 9 days.

BUT!!! the small wins I’m stoked about so far: pumping petrol with one hand is a non-issue now (i know 😅); some moves in pilates suddenly feel heaps easier; my back has stopped hurting from sitting in front of a screen all day; and cooking is actually kinda fun now?? Love that.

I just feel happier, healthier and less hungry all the time because I’ve been hitting my protein and overall just having a cleaner diet (of course still allowing myself the occasional sweet treat). I’m also grateful that my mum has gone through her own body recomp journey in the past so it’s been great having her support as motivation and to keep me accountable also.

tldr: I feel great and stronger due to consistency in my health and fitness habits.

How’s UC for working people?

I’m just trying to gauge if anyone here has gone to UC while working full time and how that worked out for you? I’ve potentially got a chance of moving to a job I’m keen on and thats related to my study but the study benefits aren’t as flexible as what I have in my current job. I’ve heard that UC is quite flexible with the hybrid model and night classes but not sure how up to date or true this info is. This is all hypothetical but for context, I would be doing the Software Eng degree if I were to transfer
