I am aware that prescreeners on prolific can be validated on a survey at the beginning of the survey. Prolific states to "add a validation question at the very start of your survey. This must use the exact wording as it appears on Prolific, which you'll find when you add a prescreener to your study setup."

Realistically, what does this look like in a study? If my prescreen criteria indicates fluency with English - do I have to list all possible language options in my survey? Is it enough to list a few, and add "other", allowing participants to choose all that apply and ONLY ask for returned submissions when participants DO NOT choose English?

I am aware the question must be asked the same way, but does that mean I have to include all possible languages included in Prolific? (There are 88 options on Prolific...).

I want participants to have the best experience, and not ask for returns unnecessarily, so any insight into what this looks like practically would be great.
