When I put the disc in my external drive it recognises the discs, even gives me the track names, when I go to rip a disc it comes up with something saying not all songs were verified or that I need to encode them or something like that but when I do nothing happens? I've tried googling it but I can't for the life of me figure this out

I was using Windows Media Player up until it stopped giving us song and album titles, I've got alot of CDs that I've not ripped and the external drive works just fine on that

Bare in mind I'm not tech savvy at all so things may have to be dumbed down, I just wish it was simple
