Google wants us to normalize $100 per subscription
With the news of Gemini-CLI being soon discontinued, I’ve decided to look into Antigravity.
First impressions are good: sleek, modern, not too different from Gemini, and more detailed UI while working.
I liked it until I decided to look at the usage after a few prompts. 40% remaining. This is nuts! The old Gemini-CLI would need hours to reach the same limit.
By a rough estimation, hoping the graphics are updated often enough, it would put the usage at about 150k tokens per session. However long it may be, a day or 12 hours. Keep in mind I am on the AI pro subscription. This is about as good as the free Claude web chat tier.
Previously the Gemini-CLI quota was impossible to max out. Recently I had a session where I let the model work uninterrupted, and the session was at about 7–10 million tokens with the Flash model while still having a usage under 15%.
However, while Gemini-CLI is still around, it will be worth it not to update it and use it as is, since it follows the older, generous pricing.
