I recently accepted an offer from Lockheed and in the process of just waiting to get my clearance approved.

I’ve just had a talk with a friend of mine from college. He currently works for Boeing, he told me that while waiting for his clearance to be through, he was getting paid as well?

That got me really curious as to if Lockheed does the same or if that entirely depends on the company. And why do they do that when the incoming employees haven’t even started working yet?

Hello, I am a 25F, 5’6 and 170lbs. Recently, I started experiencing difficulty breathing during the day.

For example, I would be fine if I’m occupied with something (and not paying attention to my breathing) like when I play games, I would be completely fine. However, when I get to wind down and “relax,” I would feel like out of breath and would struggle to breathe here and there. It would go on for around 30 minutes to an hour every time. It doesn’t affect my sleep. I usually go on 30 minutes to an hour walks before but just these past 2-3 weeks, I’ve been struggling.

I have also noticed it happens if I’m having a hard time digesting my meals. I was wondering if acid reflux or anything is the case. Or, if it’s the weather?

So I am an incoming entry level Systems Engineer at LM. I accepted the offer roughly 30 days ago, recently finished my citizenship verification because I had received the instructions only a few days prior to that. And even now I am still waiting for them to review my SF-86 and citizenship forms.

Just curious, how long did it get for you guys to obtain a security clearance?

Hi everyone, I am a recent EE grad who just landed a Entry level Systems Engineer position at Lockheed Martin. They sent me an offer this afternoon with $80k as starting. They never mentioned a salary in the interview but just surfaced the benefits and everything seemed too good to be true. However, this job market has been horrible so I do feel like I should really take this offer.

I wanted to ask with $80k as starting salary for a fresh hire, should I consider taking it or negotiate more? And if I should negotiate, what can I tell them?
