from next term the school is making us use yonder pouches. they sent a massive letter out to parents about it , basically saying if a child breaks it they will be suspended, gets caught with their phone they are suspended, etc. i also am a young carer, and the school isnt letting any young carers use their phones either, which is just gonna make me even more worried and anxious than i already am with my mental health problems.
schools are using yonder to “better mental health”, but in reality, i know its just going to make many students mental health worse than it already is. i personally get very anxious when i cant check my phone at break or lunch, literally just to see if the person i care for has messaged me. and now aparently young carers can only unlock it at head of house during school hours if they need to make a call or something. but how would i know i need to make a call if i cant check my phone !?
its an absolute joke. i understand why its being done, and yes its annoying when people are constantly using phones in class. but for many students like me , its just going to make education worse.
