[Java 26.1.2] How do I keep a powered rail and activator rail diagonally adjacent WITHOUT them tilting/connecting?
I have a powered rail and an activator rail placed diagonally — powered rail on a lower block, activator rail one block up and over (directly diagonal). I want them to stay flat and separate, but the powered rail keeps slanting upward to connect toward the activator rail.
I know from the wiki that a rail slants up to join a rail that's one block up, and that "other configurations can be created by placing and removing rails." So I tried the place-and-remove trick: I put a normal rail next to the powered rail on the flat/same level to anchor it, then placed the powered rail — but when I place the powered rail back down, it tilts again instead of staying flat.
Constraints:
- I can't space them apart by an extra block — the build needs them tight in this exact diagonal position.
- Java Edition, version 26.1.2.
Is there a placement order or trick that forces both to stay flat and separate in this tight diagonal layout? Screenshot below showing the setup.
