My I-130 was filed Feb 2025 (PD 05/29/2024), no movement since. Want to reach out to my congressman’s office for help before escalating further.
How do I actually contact them is it a form on their website, email, phone? What’s worked for others?
My I-130 spousal petition was filed in February 2025, no updates since. I’m considering sending a demand letter as the next step.
Should I try contacting them first customer service, Emma chatbot, congressional office, Ombudsman, anything before sending the demand letter? Or is it fine to skip straight to it?

Has anyone here filed one themselves for an I-130? Specifically want to know:
• What did you do before filing (congressional inquiry, ombudsman, etc.) and did any of it help?
• How did you find/draft your complaint — any templates?
• Which district court did you file in, and did you need a local attorney to “sign off” even if pro se?
• Roughly how much did it cost, and how long from filing to a response from USCIS?
Any tutorials, past threads, or lawyers you’d recommend for a review before filing would help a lot.
Hi, I filed my I-130 in February 2025. My wife is a US citizen living in the US and I am in Germany. The whole time I assumed my case was being processed at a USCIS Service Center Operations center, but my lawyer told me it’s at the National Benefits Center (NBC). My receipt number starts with IOE since it was filed online. Did I have it wrong from the start or did the case get transferred to NBC at some point?
Also I checked the USCIS processing times and NBC is currently showing 51 months for I-130. Is that accurate? That seems extremely long for a US citizen petitioning for a spouse. Any advice or similar experiences appreciated. Thanks.
Filed my I-130 on February 6, 2025. coming up on 16 months now. Currently waiting in Germany and the process is really stressful. Has anyone with a similar priority date gotten approved or received any movement recently? Trying to get a sense of where things are heading. Any updates appreciated.
