I am by no means a technical expert with these things, but this one is really interesting and I'm glad we figured it out! When your pokemon faints while you're standing on the side of/inside another pokemon's hitbox, your trainer isn't in proper position to send out your next pokemon, and i'm wondering if it might cause some collision with all the hitboxes? It could be trying to send out crobat within blissey's hitbox before it displays crobat being sent out in the overworld or something to that effect. If anyone more knowledgeable than me could produce a solid explanation, i'd really appreciate it 😁😁

While perfecting the dex entry for Crobat, an alpha chansey spawned in a massive outbreak. I decided to have my trainer stand inside of it as i battled it because it looked funny, and after a minute or so of messing around, the text for its name completely corrupted itself...?

I've tried doing exactly what i was doing in the clip, but can't seem to recreate it. I thought it might've had to do with the pokemon/pokemon's name text clipping off the screen or my trainer getting hit inside the pokemon, but j haven't managed to see it again since:

-I stand inside the chansey,

-I have my Crobat use agile style moves,

-The Chansey uses double edge, occasionally "damaging" my trainer,

-I mess with the camera some so that the pokemon's information displays in different positions

If anyone knows what might've caused this, please let me know!! I'm extremely invested

Edit: I managed to find a post from last year on this subreddit with the same thing happening with a drifloon! The only similarity between clips was that we were standing on the side of the pokemon we were attacking, so I'm inclined to believe that has something to do with it

I had sincerely thought I'd stopped reacting to shinies in this game, but after the full odds shiny beautifly on my alt file last night and then this... yeah I screamed lol. I've been hunting this gyarados on and off for 2 years now and to somehow get it while I was testing out finding shinies during the balloon race is baffling to me!

I actually did try this with regular pokeballs and couldn't get it to reach, so i grabbed the recipe for feather balls and it worked out! You can find sky tumblestones in the oreburrow tunnel (you'll need to go through the entrance at the heartwood). This isn't that useful, seeing as you can just evolve a magikarp, but it's pretty interesting nonetheless :)

my 7th static alpha on the map, too 😭 been looking for rapidash for a good few years so it's always hilarious when they crop up
