Just wrapped up a 2-night circuit through the Waikato, Rotorua, and Taupō.
The transition into late autumn/winter is such a great time to be out here—the geothermal steam is more dramatic in the cooler air, and having the sun set early means we could hit the Redwoods Nightwalk right after an early dinner.
From the colors at Wai-O-Tapu to the power of Huka Falls and the calm at the Blue Spring, the North Island is looking sharp this week.
