Darling in the FRANXX ending text

A promise across time
As I sensed something was wrong, I knew exactly what I had to do. My name is Hiro, I am one of earth's most prestigious pilots but nothing without the woman that I loved.
When I found out that she was captured by the strongest alien colony in the galaxy, the VIRM. I knew that, if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be alive right now, as she was the only one with whom I could pilot the giant robot which is made by linking a male and female’s minds together, the FRANXX.Even though it was a risky mission, my squad members have volunteered in helping me reach my loved one.
While approaching the FRANXX, something put me at unease. In front of me, it appeared to be a fleet of VIRM soldiers, but that was not the main problem.They were surrounding the FRANXX in which she was trapped. I was utterly helpless and watching in disbelief at the enormous army the VIRM had, but I was even more shocked when I saw other FRANXX coming from behind,My squad members wouldn’t leave me all by myself.I hurried to her, and when I reached it I heard a voice:
“I know you wouldn’t leave me darling.”
I smiled, reaching the control centre, but my smile faded as I saw Zero Two.The person who saved me many times before, so uneasy.
“What’s wrong?” I asked
She explained that if I were to bind with her once again, I would become a monster like her.Something that wouldn’t belong on our beloved planet and the only person who she didn't want to do that too was the person who taught her how to be human.I stated that even though she was a monster, she was more human than anyone I have seen before.
After we bound into the FRANXX, a powerful ray of light emerged from the abyss of space, and we both knew that that was our final destination.Years passed as we drifted through space, but in these days, I have not once felt lonely.After 5 years, we reached the VIRM planet, just as I was about to fire, I suddenly collapsed to the floor. In the distant parts of my imagination, I was submersed in thoughts.How could I be so useless?After everything that they’ve done for me, I couldn’t even wake up.I heard a faint voice, barely audible,louder as time passed.When I opened my eyes, I was on earth,with my friends and Zero Two.We were all laughing while having a feast,but I realized this was all in the past. I opened my eyes and heard her say:
“Darling, do you want to become one with me?”
As she said that, I grabbed the control panel and used the most powerful attack on the VIRM planet.Nothing remained left.Shifting through the starry skies bestowed upon us, what remained of us were two faint lights glowing in the distance, we sacrificed everything to save the world and become one.
Fast forward 10 years later, I was standing under a sakura tree, still thinking about all the things that happened, even though I was living in the body of a child, I still kept my memories.Just as I was about to leave, The voice of someone familiar whispered in my ear:
“I am back Darling.”
Should I also continue the story after this happened?
