Looking for clamshell + rolltop (possibly top opening) End bag (universal travel/edc)
Hi everyone,
i am in need of advice.
I’m looking for my universal backpack with requirements that makes it really hard to find.
It needs to be big enough to carry some summer clothes for two weeks, one pair of extra shoes and drone box for DJI mini 4. I think that ideal would be minimum 30-49 with roll top making it possible to expand +-5L (also i have almost irrational love for rolltop😂) And the clamshell is for easy packing and easy access to my stuff.
It would be great if it has 16” laptop pocket,because i plan to use that back also as daily bag.
No hip-strap unless it can be hidden, but it must have an option to have one.
It must be sort of water resistant. I don’t need it to be submarine resistant, but i don’t want to take out rain coat everyone some small rain come.
So far i found following:
Wandrd PRVKE 41l: It fits all my needs (at least i think so), i really like the look…BUT i don’t need the camera safe stuff (it is quite heavy) and most importantly it is very expensive: 279€ + 30€ hip-strap. I am looking for something up to 200€.
Tropic feel shell: I really like the ways it can expand. It doesn’t have rolltop, but it has some top opening which i also like. The look is also good…not as good as PRVKE but i still like it. What i dislike is the water resistance which is as i read almost none existing.
Decathlon NH Escape 500: It has only one big pocket, i would prefer if it was divided in two and it doesn’t have clamshell.
