New couple?
A guy I know seems to have a new relationship, more intense than others. He’s a model and content creator who wants to become an actor. She’s an English travel journalist who works in Italy.
The unusual thing is she physically resembles a girl he met almost three years ago on TV. TV dynamics, other people’s jealousy, a rival who managed to become her boyfriend (he's now her ex), gossip, and hateful fandoms ruined their relationship. I won’t go into details, but in the end he left her and started openly avoiding her, even when they attend same events and parties with mutual friends. Today, two seem to have separate lives and new relationships; nevertheless, there’s still something connects them. I’m telling you all this because this new girl he’s seeing not only looks a lot like girl he met on TV, but he also seems to do with her the same activities and hobbies he used to do with that girl… so I did a tarot spread.
Question: “Cards, tell me about him and the new girl.”
Spread done on May 9, 2026, with Rider Waite Centennial Edition Tarot deck.
Cut: Tower + Judgment
Cards fell from deck: Moon and Devil
Spread: 3 horizontal rows — one at the top, one in the center, one at the bottom
Top row: Moon + Devil + Ace of Pentacles + reversed Wheel of Fortune + Emperor + Ace of Cups
Middle row: Star + Three of Cups + King of Swords + Queen of Wands (reversed) + Knight of Cups + Two of Cups
Bottom row: Seven of Swords + Fool + Ten of Wands + Four of Cups + Magician
The cut, Tower + Judgment, suggests a sudden spark based on a call from the past, therefore on new girl’s physical resemblance to one he met on TV.
The Moon and the Devil speak to me of sex and confusion. The Ace of Pentacles, I think, is linked to a work opportunity… it’s as if they are combining business with pleasure. I really don’t like reversed Wheel of Fortune. It’s as if it’s not meant to be, it doesn’t turn. The Emperor and Ace of Cups speak of a man who wants to control a new emotional beginning.
The Star could be connected to his desire to become an actor, and Three of Cups to fact they share a work environment, but it can also indicate light flirting. The King of Swords is another sign of control, coldness, rationality. The reversed Queen of Wands is another card I don’t like… is she manipulative or too jealous? Hmm… this could lead him to make a declaration (Knight of Cups) and for the two to become a couple (Two of Cups). However, I believe it won’t last. The Seven of Swords and the Fool suggest betrayal or, at least, not wanting a serious relationship. The Ten of Wands and the Four of Cups tell me things will become heavy and fall into crisis, or simply won’t be that interesting anymore.
The Magician at the end could mean the will to overcome all this, but… alone. As single individuals. I don’t see the Magician as a couple card. In any case, I really don’t like the reversed Wheel of Fortune and the reversed Queen of Wands.
Bonus: The Empress (another woman?) had already appeared twice in two spreads last March I did about this guy and girl he met on TV, then it stopped appearing. The first time it came out followed by the Nine of Wands and the Seven of Swords. Now… he isn’t hiding this new relationship at all, he openly shows it even on social media, so I interpret the Seven of Swords as betrayal or, in any case, something hidden, unclear...
N. B. : I had to do this spread without new girl’s date of birth because I couldn’t find it. I used his date of birth and the new girl’s full name and surname instead
