Hello, for a little brief background.. I was on Nexplanon from Dec 11th 2026 to Mar 25th 2026 and bled/spotted for about 88% of the time. I have had Nexplanon before without issues (id maybe bleed very lightly 3 days a month) but it was years ago and I guess my body changed? I'm not sure. I got it removed because it was literally ruining my life with the spotting/bleeding.
On March 29th I started taking Slynd. On April 15th and 16th I had very very light spotting and then nothing again until April 21st which actually resulted in a heavy bleed for about 10 days stopping on the 30th. My first placebo started on the April 29th and that's pretty much when my bleeding/spotting stopped and I had nothing the entire 4 days I was on the placebos. Now the day after I started the next pack of active pills (May 4th) I'm cramping and spotting again.
Did i only stop spotting because i went on the placebos (which i know makes no sense because if anything that would make me withdraw bleed but i don't seem to withdraw bleed when i go of bc)? Do i continue to take placebos or is that what started the bleeding again but just took 4 days to start bleeding?
What are the benefits of taking the placebos? I figured it would be a better way to control the time of bleeding or help by giving your body a reset or something but does it actually do anything? I feel like that means it never actually adjusts because once a month you are going off it?
Any advice i would appreciate. I cannot be bleeding all the time again my mental health relies on it. HELP :(
