Adenomyosis and bowels issues
Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone can give me some insight!
I see a few posts on here from women that say they have issues relating to constipation, I wanted to know if anyone gets the opposite on a daily basis or the regular feeling of urgency?
Just to preface this I had surgery for stage 4 endo two years ago and after my surgery my consultant told me I also had diffuse adenomyosis.
Prior to my surgery I had the typical frequent trips to the toilet and excruciating pain when going to the toilet, since my surgery that’s stopped thankfully, but I’m left with urgency for the toilet and often loose BM when I do actually go.
Ive been back to my consultant and bowel surgeon who did a range of test and came up with pancreatic insufficiency spent two years on Creon, and after getting a 2nd option found out my initial test was a false positive and spent 2 years taking tablets I didn’t need.
I’ve also been tested for SIBO twice and they were both negative I’ve tried dairy free, gluten free, Low FODMAP and nothing works.
They only thing that helps with with this issue is if I take Imodium daily OR cocodamol, but I worry about the affect this has on body on top of the stress!
I’ve completely lost my life to it because the stress and anxiety about leaving the house is unbearable on top of all the other symptoms that come with this horrible disease.
Can anyone relate at all or know if this is something that can be related to adeno and if it’s something you have experienced did having the hysterectomy help this particular issue?
I’ve got an appointment on Wednesday for a follow up on a second opinion for MRI results, so hoping this will also help with answers.
