Tracer I-131. No precautions?
My husband had his tracer scan done this week. He was told to not worry about any restrictions at all. I didn’t think much of it, but have since learned that others are told to isolate for a day or more and/or to take extra precautions with hygiene as well as personal space. We have two very young kids and I’m now worried about what they were potentially exposed to. I do trust the nuclear medicine team, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still nervous and wishing we were given more education. A lot of the learning about this whole process I’ve done by reading about what others have gone through. I know every case is different, however. Anyone experience anything similar or could help me understand?
