I manually added the .exe game to my steam launcher since day one but the playtime was never tracked and today all of sudden it is tracked like any other Steam game (from literally nothing to 2.7 hours). No plugin is downloaded at all. Is it a new Steam feature?

For those who might ask why I manually added the game to Steam, you can use the Steam Monitor Performance overlay (FPS, CPU and GPU temps etc.), the Recording and Screenshot feature and other basic Steam overlay stuffs.
