Monocacy Valley Montessori Charter School
My child is currently on the waiting list for MVM (Monocacy Valley Montessori) in Frederick, and I’m trying to decide whether it would actually be worth making the switch if selected.
I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews online — some parents seem to absolutely love it, while others mention concerns around administration, communication, discipline, and overall organization. Most of the recent comments I’ve come across unfortunately lean more negative, so now I’m unsure what to believe.
For parents who currently have kids there (or recently did):
- How has your overall experience honestly been?
- What are the biggest pros and cons?
- How strong is the academics side compared to regular FCPS schools?
- Does the Montessori approach work well long term?
- How is the administration and communication with parents?
- If given the choice again, would you still send your child there?
