I'm ready to pull the trigger on the Traeger Woodridge Pro. Upgrading from a Pitboss walmart smoker.
The pit boss walmart smoker had bad hot spots due to the adjustable vent for "grilling" since day 1. I tried the aluminum foil trick and it just made it so anything I was trying to cook took twice as long. Cleaning the thing is a pain in the ass and the ash tray dump has always had trouble and is now currently completely stuck.
I'm going to give it away for free to a friend and tell them how much of a piece of shit it has been.
Are there any other pellet smokers I should consider? I've done research to make sure another pellet smoker is what I want and it seems to be the case.
I work from home but I don't want to manage the cook all day, I want to mostly set it and forget it and check periodically or as needed by the specific meat.
Looking for any other recommendations I should look in to.
