I am a worker at one of the Washington stores, and I've been with the company for about 2-3 years. I had one of my worst experiences dealing with more than one customer at Cash Wrap. I am usually a CS person, but I've been doing more RPL and SFS, which I am cool with, given my experience. Customer service is my foundation, but I am always down to try new things around my location. Today we didn't have many associates, so I was put into CW, and in those 2 hours, I dealt with so many privileged and disrespectful customers.

  1. There was this one customer who wanted alterations, but instead of pinning the pants in the fitting room like everyone else, he STAPLED both his pants to his desired length. I told the customer that we cannot do that, and it would ruin the material. I told that customer to go back to the fitting room since it wasn't busy and to get it pinned, but he did not want to listen and started to get offensive. I can tell English wasn't his first language, but for some reason, he wanted it done in his own way. I proceeded to pin the pants in CW and still told him that once we take out the STAPLES, the pants would look weird, but he didn't listen and shrugged it off.

  2. In addition, the next customer wanted to pay for one singular item and wanted CASHBACK. I told her that we did not have CASHBACK, but her privileged head said that we did it a couple of weeks ago in this location. I know she was lying because NO UNIQLO STORES does cash back. I had 2 of my higher-ups talk with her since she does not believe me. In the end, she ended up buying the item and walked out really fast. I have no idea what she was on, but why even lie about that???? Go to a bank or grocery store tbh.

  3. As usual, we do have an abundance of customers who get mad about our online order policy. We cannot accept online orders because it's a different warehouse and system, and they need to ship it back. This customer gave me the side eye and was like whatever. I felt that because that individual thinks I MADE THE RULE. I only make the minimum. I am sorry that you do not fit into that shirt, but you should read the fine print.

  4. This really cheap customer wanted a price adjustment to his item. I am 100% okay with that because I love a good deal/discount, and if you are nice to me, then for sure I WILL DO IT. He wanted a price adjustment for a sweatshirt he bought a couple of days ago, but he did not bring the item or his RECEIPT. We had to look at his online receipt and manually put it in, but that took a while. He also said his other outerwear is on discount, so we had to do that also. Guess what, only the sweatshirt was on discount, and he saved a total of $2.81. Such a great deal for your alternative milk.

  5. This last customer was the WORST out of all of them! She bought one item from another Uniqlo store in Washington. She purchased it 3 weeks ago. I saw the shirt, and it had brown makeup stains on it. She knew it was there and insisted she buy it just like that. I told her cannot accept the return because the product was in bad shape, and it took 3 weeks for you to return it. The makeup was also her skin tone. She started to get more angst, so I called my MOD. They mentioned the same thing I told the customer, and she would keep arguing back, saying she bought it even though she knew there was a stain on it. She then proceeds to say, "I TOLD HER IT WAS OKAY TO DO IT BECAUSE I TOLD HER LAST WEEK." I was flabbergasted because that is not true. We got another higher up to help, and the same thing. The customer began to accuse me of saying it last week, and I started to get really mad. I mentioned I did not say that to her. She said it was on Thursday last week, but I know I was in BOH the whole time and did not interact with any customers/ She then said oh I meant Wednesday. GIRLIE, I had to call out because I was dealing with some shooting violence in my other job, and that scarred me.
Why does she have to accuse me of things I DID NOT SAY? In the end, we processed that return and moved on because she was a handful with lies.

Why are certain customers like this?
Are we just cheap in this time of age?
DO I look like a nice pushover?
Maybe it's the full moon.

What do you guys think? I think I am going crazy.
