Seeking personal experience experimenting with hermies

TLDR: Does anyone have any experience with salvaging a hermie? What experiments have you done in that regard with hermie plants, and did you ultimately get a desireable outcome?

My girlfriend got these seeds via an oz she bought like 2 years back,--stellar strain, \[Sour Gushers\] just seedy as high hell. I decided to hang on to the seeds since I already have a ton of miscellaneous mystery seeds in jars for shits and gigs.
Fast forward to a couple months back; I decided to play around and try mainlining. I think I did pretty damn good for my first go at it,--however (I presume due to the extreme levels of stress endured) she's taken on new pronouns.
I'm not upset about it, as this plant was meant to be an experiment, and really just an introduction into mainlining for me. But still, a hermie is less than an ideal outcome, you feel me?
1.) Does anyone have any experience with salvaging a hermie? What experiments have you done in that regard with hermie plants, and did you ultimately get a desireable outcome?
