I’ve been playing the Banjo for about 2 years now and I’d consider myself an advanced beginner/ intermediate player. Of the songs I know, I know how to play them well and fairly consistently but I feel like I’m plateauing in my skill. I want to be prepared when I actually want to play for/with someone. Should I continue learning melodies to songs, learn more backup pattern, more chords, maybe music theory? If y’all could give some insight into how you became the player you are today that would be great!
