I need to migrate from SM 9200 to NSa 6800 but it's not supported, either by converting or by direct import.
So, I am planning to convert the SM 9200 settings to a Gen 7 firewall say, NSa 5700, and import it directly into the NSa 6800.
Is this recommended?
SonicWall supports configuring Link Aggregation on an interface's Advanced window. It also support creating the same on the Switching > Link Aggregation page. The difference seems to be that the latter requires an interface to be configured with an IP address and the former does not.
I have a parent interface with no IP configured with two sub-interfaces. When I configure Link aggregation on the parent interface, the switch shows Link Aggregation is not up. When I configure an IP and then configure Link Aggregation with LACP on the Link Aggregation page, the status in the switch shows up as up.
What is the difference between these two? Appreciate your expert opinion. Thank you.
