Hello! I’ve had long hair since I was 5 years old. At around 23 years old, I realized I had wavy hair all along. Now at 25, I’m still trying to figure out how to style and care for my hair

I am trying to achieve soft, voluminous waves. My issue is dealing with frizz, and products weighing it down and making it look greasy. The products I’ve tried so far: Pattern leave-in conditioner, Not Your Mother’s curl cream, Nak sea salt spray, and Garnier Fructis’s Diamond Sleek and Shine spray

Honestly, nothing works better than just water and some scrunching. Sometimes I drench my hair, and sometimes I just do a light spray. However, this does make my hair very frizzy

I’d love some advice on how to style and care for my hair. It’s driving me crazy, because I can see in my mind’s eye how I want my hair, but it’s hard to achieve it. Something Jim Morrison-esque, like when he had long hair down to his shoulders

Also does my hair look too dry to you? And do you think I need another hair style to achieve what I want?

Routine:

- I was my hair every four days. I use Suave Ocean Breeze shampoo and conditioner. I have been for years.

- After the shower, I wait about 20 minutes to blow dry my hair. For a long time I only blow dried my hair without an attachment, but this year I started to use a diffuser but it makes my hair severely frizzy. I rarely use products because I fee like they make my hair worse. Maybe I just need to find the perfect heat protectant.

- I always scrunch my hair while blow drying

- I’d say my hair is thick

- I do not protect hair while sleeping

- to refresh, I just add water

I know this isn’t the most complicated routine in the world, so maybe that’s my issue

Thank you so much!!!
