CRC EXAM

I’m just here to vent. I wanted to add a certification while I’m looking for a job and took the exam today and honestly it was extremely hard exam. I studied and was scoring 85% average on practice exams but I think I bombed it. I didn’t pay for the course since exams and book was so expensive..but I self studied and took 10 practice exams.
I have a CPC and lots of experience in RA already and I’m shocked at how hard the exam was.
Any advice , tips , encouragement would be appreciated, Incase I have to take it again.
Please be kind.

UPDATE: I passed the exam!! I was fretting so much. It was definitely harder than expected . Got my result in 26 hours exactly from test start time.
Though I don’t remember all the exact questions. Happy to help anyone taking it in anyway I can.

No HR call, direct manager call?

So I applied to a job with a big company ( which I know has an HR/ talent acquisition department). I got an email on Friday about a couple options for a teams interview. I thanked them and picked a time then got the teams invite with 4 more people copied on it. I’m assuming they will all be on the call but don’t want to ask. It’s a 30 min interview with 5 people.. I’m starting to get nervous but also don’t know if this a typical. Any insights?
Does this sound normal?

Interview prep

I was recently laid off and trying to prep for a couple of interviews.
Serious question , haven’t interviewed in years, so please be kind.
How do you sheer the following?

  1. Tell me about yourself?
  2. Why do you think you’ll be a good fit for this job- what else can I add ( besides the obvious work history)
  3. What is your biggest weakness ?
Thanks guys! Serious answers only please.

California job layoffs

So I got laid off today, director position in healthcare field. We knew there were hiring freeze and layoffs slowly happening but as usual you never think it would happen to you. What amazed us the cold brutality that they lay you off with… sorry cutting budget , reorganizing blah blah .. it’s all a blur.
Now to my question is 2 weeks severance just insanity for a 2.5 year Director level position? Especially if you are over 40 and the higher income bracket. How does a company justify that?
Anyone else in SoCal in this boat. Ofcourse I’m planning on negotiating but just feel betrayed, hopeless and angry right now.
To clarify - I was paid out PTO and offered a month of Cobra.
