Timing of laparoscopy & getting pregnant
Hi all! I am 30 years old & finally ready to start trying to get pregnant. I have a family hx of “painful periods”, but “extremely fertile” (just quoting my mom lol). I have suspected endometriosis, being followed by Dr. Garza for eventual laparoscopy. I’ve completed the MRI (which was normal) so next step is surgery. Well, the wait list for this surgery is months long which im not even scheduled for yet. I’m not entirely sure I want to wait that long before trying to conceive. I don’t anticipate great trouble with fertility. My question is should laparoscopy/excisional surgery be prioritized to get the bottom of the 1-2 days out of every month where I am in extreme pain & I have great fluctuations in hormones before I start trying to get pregnant? I’d obviously opt for surgery if we end up being unsuccessful with fertility! TIA!
