1980’s(?) child’s book that possibly had a little blue cartoon bird on it (with a yellow/orange beak?) It came with a plastic whistle/instrument that looked like a bird, and it wasn’t like a normal recorder—it had a piece you could slide in and out (kind of like a trombone) to change the sound. I think it actually fit into a spot in the book. Short story about going to bed, and then at the end there was a song you could play using the whistle thingy.
