hi there,

i’ve dealt with ocd on and off for 6 years. it first starting off in 2020. in around late 2023 to early 2024 i classified myself as fully recovered as intrusive thoughts gave me barely any anxiety despite it being a bit there. so i’d say it was never FULLY gone. in 2025, it came back, a lot, i would get over one theme and be perfectly normal and then another one would come in and it’s been very up and down since of feeling perfectly fine and then another anxious mess. and it’s the same recovery tactic i keep trying to use, reduce rumination, stop arguing and answering. but it’s as if i can only remember these things when i start to feel very anxious, or it just hits me randomly!!

i don’t believe in ocd being chronic, if others can make a full recovery, so can i. so i’m wondering what do you think i’m doing wrong maybe? any advice would be greatly appreciated !
