[10 YOE, Hospitality Worker, IT Support, United States]

Hello everyone! I'm a 10+ year hospitality veteran who is trying to transition into IT, specifically a help desk/support role. I have no professional IT experience, but I've been trying to augment it with an A+ certification, and also doing some online, open source coursework studying coding, web development, and databases.

I already have a bachelors, which is in Hosptality Management. I've been debating going back to school for either a CS or IT degree, but I was told it would be a waste since I already have a degree, and I should instead go for certifications and emphasize my customer service experience. I just got my A+ cert, and I plan on working on Network+ and Security+ once I get my foot in the door.

I've only been applying for a few days, but I wanted some opinions on the resume I'm using. My biggest struggle has been trying to frame my hospitality experience as sufficient customer service experience, as well as POS experience, building my own PC's, and software/hardware troubleshooting in my free time.

All opinions welcome. Thank you!
