My salesperson called in sick today and I realized I have a business continuity problem. What finally made you consider AI for sales?

Running a b2c services business. 1 sales rep out today and I can literally feel leads slipping through the cracks in real time.

It’s not even about replacing her. It’s that I realized my entire lead response function depends on 2 ppl being awake and healthy, it’s a bit terrifying.

We operate in a space where if you don’t reply within 5 minutes, the customer has already booked a competitor

So now I’m actually seriously evaluating AI sales agents for the first time. Not chatbots. Actual qualification and booking flows that run 24/7.

Curious what pushed others to pull the trigger. Was it a specific moment like this, or did you do it proactively?
